The Postgraduate Society is dedicated to Master’s and Ph.D students across Teesside University.
Our aim is to provide a safe, supportive space for students, a platform to discuss and share their experiences and expand their network while also learning new skills.
This year our goals include growing as a society by inviting new members and bringing exciting opportunities to the students. On a weekly basis, our members are given the opportunity to join a coffee morning and engage in conversation with each other.
During these sessions, students are welcomed & encouraged to discuss ideas and activities that they would like the society to organise.
With over 15 workshops delivered to our credit so far, this year promises to be even better as we intend to provide a variety of seminars tailored to the members’ needs; examples of these include ‘How to use LinkedIn’, ‘Effective CV’ and ‘ A day in the life of a researcher’.
After our successful trips to Wales and Scotland, we are aiming to organise additional cultural trips in the future.
As a society, we believe that the key to student upliftment is through skill development.
We actively invite student feedback to improve our service and endeavour to make a positive contribution to the student experience at Teesside University. Therefore, we are proud to call ourselves a member-led society.
