Student Representation

Course and School Representatives are here to represent your academic interests and to ensure that you have a positive experience whilst studying at Teesside University. Ensuring that you have your voice heard, whether you have an academic issue or have some positive feedback about your course, is really important to us. The reps are here to ensure that the right people in the University get to hear your feedback so that positive changes can be made together.

Academic Advice

University life can have its ups and downs. We all need a little help now and then, and occasionally you may find yourself in need of advice and guidance. Our Advice Service provides free, confidential and independent help to all students at Teesside University

Navigating the academic landscape can be challenging, but our team is here to support you. If you find yourself facing adverse situations, we can help you with academic complaints, academic misconduct, academic or attendance appeals, assist with disciplinaries, and/or fitness to practice. We will guide you through the processes and explain your options at each stage.

Our Process:

Problem: Email suss@tees-su.org.uk or use the advice form to tell us about the issue you're facing. We need to know as much detail on your situation as possible to allow us to give you the best possible advice. Attach any relevant documents such as University letters or your Record of Progress.

Review: The Advice team will review the details of your case in detail and gather any information/resources that might be useful to you.

Action: An adviser will contact you to explore the options available to you and guide you to the best possible solution to the issues you’re facing.
