As a member of the Events Team here at Teesside University Students’ Union you could be seen doing anything from setting up for a range of student events and private functions.
You will work with the some of the newest equipment in the industry to put on the best events for your Students’ Union. Events that you could work on include our selection of students events to our ever-growing external hire events. In the past TUSU has hosted several lives events which has welcomed appearances from huge celebrity names previously including the likes of Sigma, Sigala, Chase & Status, DJ Fresh, Jess Glynn, Example, Nick Grimshaw, Greg James, Scott Mills, Pendulum, Professor Green & Basshunter to name a few.
Despite the job title, not everything that you do will be tech related. You will be expected to follow plans to get everything in the venue setup including the decor, the furniture, the external bars, and even the dressing rooms. When we host a paint party you will assist in making the venue watertight and even laying a carpet! This really is a varied job where no two shifts will be the same.
This job has excellent prospects for promotion and previous tech crew have moved on to work at some of the best venues across the world. As well as work through term time, there is also opportunity to work during the summer.
